Stunning handwoven quality linen sheet, with a centre join which is whip-stitched. This is an old piece, the two halves indicate a smaller domestic loom width which is stitched together to create a wider sheet. The monogram normally sits to be viewed folded over at the top, but this could be read either way.....so FN or NJ. The monogram is hand embroidered (see photo of the rear) and the seams are all handstitched. A stunner!
