A beautiful French vintage cotton chemise / nightshirt in lovely condition with a unique twist. It appears to be pieced together from several garments to make a low waisted dress with lovely features.
 
Broderie anglais trims the neckline and front placket, concealing the shell buttons. There are fine pintucks, with evidence of some un-picking in the past (see images), and three featured monograms, one on the chest and two below the waist line. The two below the waist also share some sweet embroidery. Here you can see how the piece has been made from several garments in the past. The cuffs are also trimmed with broderie anglais. The shape is lovely and great for layering or as a summer pop-over with a belt. 
 
This piece is perfectly imperfect and priced accordingly.
